History of ESA
At over 100 years old, ESA is one of the oldest non-profit organisations in Australia.

Governance
A Branch Council is elected each year to provide voluntary administration and organisation of the Society. The Council organises functions, engages with students, represents the organisation at conferences and meetings, and advises on the strategic direction of the organisation. We are always looking for members to involve themselves in the running of the organisation. Please contact us to express your interest in becoming involved.
Awards
Each year the Central Council of the Economic Society of Australia makes up to four awards to honour the achievements of Australian economists. Every state Branch of the Society is able to make a nomination for each of the awards.
