Date
From: Wednesday June 12, 2019, 12:15 pm
To: Wednesday June 12, 2019, 1:30 pm
The Women in Economics Network (WEN) invite you to a lunchtime event with special guest speaker, Cherelle Murphy, Senior Economist at ANZ. Cherelle will discuss the following topic: What’s in store for the South Australian economy?
About the speaker
Cherelle Murphy is a member of ANZ’s Research team. She analyses and forecasts the Australian economy and provides regular updates and insights on topics that are front of mind for ANZ’s clients. Cherelle has a special interest in fiscal policy and policy issues affecting the domestic outlook. Cherelle has also worked in ANZ corporate communications, holding the position of Senior Manager of Media Relations for two years. She also worked as a journalist for the Australian Financial Review for five years, including as Economics Correspondent for the paper in the Federal Parliamentary Press Gallery.
About the event
South Australia has been resilient as the north and west traversed the commodity price boom and enjoyed relative calm as the eastern states have been bumped around by housing.
What’s next for South Australia? Does it maintain its cool “we’ll do it our way” kind of vibe, or will the national slowdown weigh on South Australia too?
