The Women in Economics Network (WEN) invite you to a lunchtime event with special guest speaker, Lynne Cockerell, Deputy Head of the Economic Analysis Department at the Reserve Bank. Lynne will discuss the following topic: The future of growth – the role of education and health.
About the speaker
Lynne Cockerell has worked at the Bank for more than 25 years across both their Economic and Financial Markets Group. During the financial crisis, she worked in the Bank’s international relations area, and got a front-row seat to the changing role of the G-20 and the IMF at that time. Lynne also spent two years in the United States, working as a policy advisor in the Markets Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Lynne has been involved in a number of committees and boards. She is a former Trustee of the Reserve Bank’s Officer Superannuation Fund, and outside of work, she is the Treasurer for the Canterbury Ice Hockey Club. She has an honours degree in economics and econometrics from the University of New South Wales and a masters from the London School of Economics.
