Application for WEN South Australia mentoring programme, 2024-25

now OPEN!

The Women in Economics Network (WEN) South Australia Committee is delighted to invite applications from female university students for the upcoming 2024-25 mentoring program.

This program pairs aspiring women economists with experienced women economists, to provide mentoring and guidance as you navigate your economics studies and the workforce.

What is involved in being a mentee?

  • 2 hours at the program launch in August where you will meet your mentor and network with other mentors and mentees.
  • About 10 hours of mentoring time over 12 months. This might include coffee catch ups, lunches. It is really up to you and your mentor.
  • 2 hours for a mid-program mentoring event, for mentors and mentees to gather over a topic and for networking.
  • We also encourage mentors and mentees to become WEN members and attend other WEN and ESA events throughout the year.

Mentee Requirements:

  • Mentees must identify as female.
  • Be studying an economics-related field in South Australia.
  • While preference will be given to applicants in the later stages of their degree, students from all year levels are encouraged to apply.

To apply, please complete the form via the link by Monday 29 July 2024.
