Economics on Foot is a casual, early-morning networking event designed for anyone curious about economics, from students and early-career economists to seasoned professionals working in diverse industries.

We’ll begin with a refreshing walk along the river, giving you the chance to clear your mind and energise your body, while enjoying relaxed, one-on-one chats with people who share a passion for understanding how the world works through an economic lens. The walk will be followed by coffee at a nearby café, where conversations can deepen into topics ranging from career journeys to current economic challenges — and how economists contribute to solving real-world problems.

Whether you’re studying economics, working in the field, or simply curious about how economic thinking shapes our society, this is a welcoming space to connect, learn, and share ideas — all before your workday begins.

Location: Start Unibar (Adelaide University). Walk to Torrens Weir. Walk back to Home Ground Cafe (2.8km, 40 mins)

Registration: Free for all.

If it is raining, we will move directly to café networking.

7:40am – 8:30 am: Guided river walk
