DESCRIPTION:Applications for WEN&nbsp\;South Australia&nbsp\;mentoring programme\, 2026&ndash\;27
The Women in Economics Network (WEN) South Australia Committee is delighted to invite applications from women university students/early career for the upcoming 2026-27 mentoring programme. This programme pairs aspiring women economists with experienced economists\, public policy and project officers\, senior analysts\, to provide mentoring and guidance as you navigate your economics studies and the workforce.
&nbsp\;What is involved in being a mentee?

2 hours for the programme launch on 06 August at Level 6 Union House\, Adelaide University from 5:30 to&nbsp\;7:30pm\, where you will meet your mentor\, network with other mentors and mentees\, and participate in the interactive workshop Making the Most of Mentoring led by Preeti Wale Sagar.
About 10 hours of mentoring time over 12 months. This might include online meetings\, coffee catch ups\, lunches. It is really up to you and your mentor.
We also encourage mentors and mentees to become WEN members and attend other WEN and ESA events throughout the year.&nbsp\;You can join here!

Mentee Requirements:

Mentees must identify as female.
Be studying an economics-related field in South Australia.
While preference will be given to applicants in the later stages of their degree\, students from all year levels are encouraged to apply.

About Preeti Wale Sagar:

&nbsp\;Preeti Wale Sagar is a passionate learning and development professional and certified coach with over 15 years of experience across the education\, retail\, hospitality and aviation sectors. She has led learning and development functions across Dubai and Australia\, combining a strong customer-focused approach with a deep commitment to developing people and enabling growth.
Preeti is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) through the Coaches Training Institute and holds the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation. She also holds a qualification in People Development from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development\, UK.
Currently working as a success and wellbeing coach within the VET sector\, Preeti supports students in building confidence\, focus and direction as they navigate study\, career and personal growth. She is passionate about helping people realise their full potential through meaningful reflection and practical action\, and brings strong expertise and experience in coaching women leaders.
