The Economic Society of Australia (South Australia Branch) (ESA-SA)\, the Young Economists Network South Australia (YEN-SA)\, and the Australian Centre for Housing Research at Adelaide University are pleased to invite you to Housing Futures: An Australian Housing Economics Forum. This one-day forum will bring together researchers\, policymakers\, industry professionals\, community-sector practitioners and students to examine Australia's housing challenges and the role of economics in shaping effective\, evidence-based policy.
About the Forum
Australia's housing system presents some of the nation's most pressing economic and social challenges. Housing affordability\, supply and planning\, rental markets\, housing quality\, sustainability and emerging technologies are increasingly central to public policy and economic research.
The forum will create a space for discussion\, knowledge sharing and collaboration across academia\, government\, industry and the community sector. Participants will engage with current evidence\, emerging methods and practical policy perspectives while building connections across Australia's housing research and policy community.
What the Day Will Include

A keynote address on Australia's housing challenges
Research and policy sessions led by experts from academia\, government and practice
A panel discussion on the future of housing economics
A student research showcase highlighting emerging work
